We are seeking a motivated and experienced team player to join our dedicated team within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Māori Office.

In this varied role, your time will be split between the Office and Te Kohinga Mārama marae. You will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the two areas and will be the first point of contact for the Office and provide comprehensive administrative support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Māori and staff. You will assist with arranging events and also provide secretarial support to committees. Within the marae, you will provide high level administrative and financial processing support and also catering assistance to ensure guests are cared for.

A good general education is required to at least NCEA Level 3 with excellent communication skills in English and also strong written and oral abilities in te reo Māori. In addition you will have excellent client service, time management and organisational skills and enjoy being proactive in identifying and implementing efficient working practices. It is essential that you are experienced in working on a marae and knowledge of marae protocol is preferred.

Salary will be in the range of $46,365 to $57,064 per year depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
