We are looking to build on our team with highly qualified, experienced and passionate lecturers and tutors that are driven to make a positive difference in the world of social work education. Our programmes attract ambitious students that are focussed on becoming positive contributors to this field in Te Tai Tokerau, Northland. We need talented individuals with the desire to inspire and motivate these students toward their goals.
Social Work Lecturers – 2x Full Time Permanent, 1x Full Time Fixed Term
We have two permanent full time positions available teaching on our Social Work degree programme. One of these roles will also take on the responsibilities of the Head of Social Work. Additionally we have one fixed term position for one year to cover a member of staff on Parental Leave. These roles are based at our Raumanga Campus in Whangarei. You will have a Masters qualification in Social Work, registration or the ability to be registered with SWRB and extensive Social Work experience.
Certificate in Mental Health & Addictions Tutor – 2x Full Time Permanent
We are looking for two permanent full time tutors with extensive experience in the Mental Health and Addictions sector to deliver our Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions across Whangarei, Kaikohe and Kaitaia. For this reason you will need to be willing to travel and have a full drivers licence. You will have a degree level qualification in the social work field, a Masters qualification would be preferred. You will have extensive experience in the Mental Health and Addictions field.
All roles require:
- An adult teaching qualification or the desire to work towards this qualification
- Proficient understanding and use of te reo o Te Tai Tokerau
- Well developed knowledge and the practical application of Tikanga and whānau concepts
- Proficient knowledge of āhuatanga Tai Tokerau and desire to actively participate in cultural events
- Commitment to valuing diversity and to applying the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi as appropriate
- Relevant industry experience
- Experience of teaching or training adults would be an advantage
- A commitment to ongoing Professional Development
- The desire to participate in research
