Dean Innovation & Development - Construction, Infrastructure & Engineering
Closing Date : 10 Nov 2017
What skills will tomorrow's construction, infrastructure and engineering professionals need?
How relevant are the current teaching methodologies to the industry? What can you do to make sure our building and construction industry operates at the highest possible standard?
Unitec is on a journey to become a world leader in contemporary and applied learning. Key to getting to where we want to go is having the right people. We approach learning differently, and our unique combination of world-class theory and hands-on experience will give students the skills to meet the changing needs of employers. We've recently completed a hub which will offer café-style open environments merging with collaborative study areas, semi-enclosed library spaces and study pods.
Delivering the kind of change to realise a transformative change is hugely exciting, but such change certainly comes with its challenges. Managing that change is key, which is why we are now looking for a Dean Innovation & Development - to bring a strategic approach to Unitec's construction, infrastructure and engineering portfolio.
As Dean Innovation & Development you will keep Unitec current and ensure our teaching is in line with the demands of industry. You'll use your close ties with the construction, infrastructure and engineering industry to ensure Unitec is able to be responsive to demands from industries, communities and external stakeholders. Importantly, you'll be charged with turning that knowledge into new and changing programme frameworks, learning pathways, products and services.
You will be working alongside other senior leaders across the organisation to significantly influence not only an institution of huge promise, but also the lives of tomorrows building and construction professionals. Your experience, insight and passion for quality and adherence to excellence will make a positive difference to industry. You need to hold a Doctoral or Master's qualification and have the kind of networks which will allow you to maintain a current and far reaching view of that industry.
If you have the networks, the knowledge, the passion for the industry, and desire to shape tomorrow's workforce, we would very much like to hear from you.
The closing date is 10 November 2017.
