The PKW Group, includes PKW Farms Limited Partnership, Taranaki’s largest dairy farmer with active business interests in dairy and dairy support, beef and livestock trading. The Partnership comprises 23 dairy and dairy support farms, covering around 4,000 hectares with 100 kaimahi and/or contractors supporting the farming operations. Recent growth and development has resulted in a Operational Management vacancy within PKW’s Farming Group. Applications are now invited from those who have the ability to successfully lead the operational management of multiple Dairy and Dairy Support Farms all based in Taranaki. The Operations Manager will take responsibility for driving profitability across the assigned farms, striving for best in class excellence, while delivering on the Farming Group’s strategic goals and objectives. This position reports to the General Manager Ahuwhenua (Farms) and has direct leadership responsibility for multiple farms that are currently operated through Employment, Contract Milking and Sharemilking structures.

Applicants will have a minimum of three years’ experience in managing multiple farms and/or a large-scale farming operation and have well developed agri-sector skills and leadership capabilities. Those considering this position should also have genuine empathy towards supporting Māori aspirations for economic development with an understanding of Māori structures and tikanga. It is essential that candidates have an Agribusiness Degree or equivalent qualification and experience.
