Youth Horizons is seeking a passionate, vibrant, confident individual to work in our MST service. You need to enjoy connecting with the community, be quick thinking, a great problem solver, and have a belief in the ability for people to change and grow.
Following an evidence-based model you will be part of a specialist team delivering an intensive 24/7 community-based programme which supports families/whānau to manage young people with very challenging behaviour.
Your innate ability to build trust and confidence will see positive relationships forged with family and whānau and other key stakeholders, such as, education providers and the police. We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology or a related discipline, as well as, mental health clinical training and experience. If you are looking to develop a career working with people; have loads of integrity, are highly motivated and willing to learn you are the person for us.
We need you to have Bachelors or Masters level training in Psychology, Social Worker, Occupational Therapy, Counselling or Psychotherapy and must be able to be registered within your professional body. You must also hold a full New Zealand driver's licence; have a good level of computer literacy; and a can-do attitude.
