We are seeking applications for a motivated Driver/General Hand to join our team at Ngāi Tahu Seafood's Christchurch Processing Plant. This role will be responsible for the safe and efficient uplift and transportation of Ngāi Tahu Seafood's valued product.

Ngāi Tahu Seafood is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ngāi Tahu Holdings Group of companies. It has developed a significant international marketing and supply chain presence in New Zealand since our business inception in 1988. Our key products include high quality Kōura (Rock Lobster), Pāua (Abalone), Rāwaru (Blue Cod) and the iconic Tio (Bluff Oyster).

This position will uplift and deliver product so knowledge of loading and transporting secure loads, and maintaining accurate log books is required. The Driver/General Hand will ensure that the vehicle is loaded securely, within its capacity and the vehicle is to be driven and maintained within required regulatory standards. In addition when there is down time from driving, this position will undertake general lobster handling duties.

The person we are seeking will have:

  • Forklift Operating License
  • Full and current NZ Class 2 HT License
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Adaptability to work well as part of a team and independently.
