Wintec’s Centre for Health and Social Practice is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Work Educator to join the Bachelor of Social Work teaching team! 

About the role

The Centre has a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership, and the Social Work degree is underpinned by an experiential approach to learning which links work, education, and personal and professional development. Importance is placed upon ensuring that graduates are work-ready and well prepared to gain employment or to enhance and extend employment opportunities. 

The position will involve the development and delivery of new and existing social work programmes and will require extensive knowledge and experience with a range of social work practices, issues and contexts. 

This position is a permanent full time appointment; however a part-time appointment may be considered.

Are you an ideal candidate?

* Have a recognised Social Work qualification
* Hold a relevant Masters qualification
* Be a registered Social Worker
* Have specialist knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and experience with Tiriti/Treaty Based Social Work Practice
* Social Work practice experience and current Social Work networks
* Have relevant research experience

The successful applicant will have well developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team. Current practice experience is desirable.
